NEW SPRING BREAK CAMP:

Stonehouse Stables will be offering a Spring Break Camp for the first time.  We are looking forward to spending time with our students in the warm weather to have some extra special spring fun and prepare for the upcoming show season.

SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION

Summer is just around the corner and its time to start thinking about summer camps for the riders in your family

Stonehouse Stables is offering a fun filled summer of camps. All riders will get the chance to learn basic horse care, how to be helpful in the barn, and enjoy fun lessons each day for a week.

Application

HRA Camp: July 5-9 –  Open to rising 3rd through 8th grade student interested in learning how to ride and care for horses. Camp will run 9 am to 3pm (buses will leave HRA at 8:30 am  and depart from Stonehouse for HRA at 3:00 pm). Camp will include daily riding lessons, horse safety lessons, helping in the barn, fun crafts and horse related activities. Mini Camp: July 12-16    – Open to riders ages 5-10, Camp will run 9 am to12 noon. The camp will focus on learning horse vocabulary and working around the horses in the barn. Each day will include a  group riding lesson and a fun horse activity. Last day of camp will include a pool party.    $225 for the week

Advance Beginner Camp: July 19-23 Open to all riders with riding levels below 2 foot. Camp will run 9 am to 4pm. Camp will focus on learning different uses for horses and how to care for the horses. Each day will include an hour group riding lesson, a theory lesson, lunch by the pool, swimming, and helping in the barn. $350 for the week

SRA Camp: August 9-13- Open to all current SRA members. Camp will run from 9 am to 5 pm . The camp with focus on different horse careers. Students will take field trips or have clinics to show them different uses for horses. More information and pricing will be available soon. Price tcoming soon

2010 Summer Camp Requirements for Beginner and SRA Camp: 

Welcome to summer camp 2010.  We are looking forward to an exciting year and the possibility of special learning.  In order to accommodate the best learning environment, your child will need the following items on a daily basis.  These items will be useful throughout their riding experiences.

 For the Horse and Rider

  • Halter
  • Lead rope
  • Suggested Container or Bucket for horse equipment
  • Mane Comb
  • Brush Kit with hoof pick
  • Show Sheen or Cowboy Magic Detangler
  • Horse Shampoo
  • Packed Lunch
  • Snack money
  • Drink Money or extra drinks for the fridge
  • Riding attire
  • Helmet
  • Happy Horsemanship Book
  • Towel
  • Bathing Suit
