Camp Application
Come join Stonehouse Stables for a summer of
fun events! We are hosting three camps open to all Stonehouse
Stables riders.

Mini Camp – open to riders ages 5-7, Camp will run
June 30 through July 4th (9 am – 12 noon). The camp
will focus on learning horse vocabulary and working around the
horses in the barn. Each day will include a 30 minute group riding
lesson and a fun horse activity. Last day of camp will included a
pool party. The cost is $200 for the session.

Beginner Camp – open to all riders with riding levels
below jumping 2 foot – July7th – 11th (8 am – 5
pm). The camp will focus on learning different uses for horses
and how to care for the horses. Each day will include an hour group
riding lesson, a theory lesson, lunch by the pool and swimming, and
helping in the barn. The campers will get the chance to load the
horses up on the trailer and take them to York River State Park for
a two hour trail ride. The cost is $350 for the session.

Intermediate/Advanced Camp- open to all riders showing
at Short Stirrup and above. July 21 – 25/26th (8 am -5pm)
The camp will focus on getting riders ready to travel to an away
horse show. The campers will spend the week practicing daily for
their show level, helping in the barn, and having lunch by the pool
and swimming. The riders will leave the barn Friday morning and
travel to Richmond and have their daily lesson on the show grounds, spend
the night in Richmond and show Saturday. The cost is $350 for the session with
discounted horse show fees for those who wish to attend the show.

Requirements for beginner and intermediate camp:
Welcome to summer camp 2008. We are
looking forward to an exciting year and the possibility of
special learning. In order to accommodate the best learning
environment your child will need the following items on a daily
basis. These items will be useful throughout their riding
expereinces.
