I wanted to thank you and everyone there for going above and beyond to help me and my daughter during our time there. You all did everything you could to help a non-horse person like me make sure Genevieve had fun and learned. The staff, the other riders and the other families should all be proud of what you’ve got there and we are very sad to be leaving. ~Tony J.
I started riding at Stonehouse in 2000, after a 25-year break from the sport. The farm and the staff are a beloved part of our lives for my husband and me. Not only is Stonehouse expertly run, but its coaches have the ability to explain the process — the steps — behind the skills we’re all trying to achieve. Tara Best and her team have a deep affection for their students which I have witnessed repeatedly. And their diligence and loyalty can’t be overstated: Tara spent literally years helping me overcome a serious freak accident that took away all my confidence, though not my desire to ride. I now am in a place I couldn’t have imagined in 2003, and I wouldn’t be here if not for Stonehouse.

Dear Tara and Stonehouse Stables,
Thank you for all that you do for our daughter. Horses have been her passion for most of her young life, and will continue well into the future.
Unfortunately,we do not have the knowledge of horses to indulge in this passion. Your help and guidance have been a godsend in identifying opportunities to maximize her participation in the sport.
In addition, you, and the staff that you have assembled are excellent role models for her, and all of the young people at Stonehouse. She learns the value of hard work, good friends, and sportsmanlike competition that will build her character for the future. We truly appreciate your impact on her life.
Do not EVER underestimate what you added to that wonderful young woman’s life, you made her happy, strong and capable too!! She has brains, and you have her heart. I cannot thank you enough for your love, help and support for Miss Carrie.
Thanks so much for allowing us to visit this weekend. In just 2 days it transformed a girl who wouldn’t go near the end of the street to feed a horse carrots to her saying the lot of them are her “babies” and asking everyday to go back. She really enjoyed the “white ones” haha. She can not wait to be allowed to ride and doesn’t stop talking about “Surfie”. I hope to continue our visits and continue working up to classes for her and maybe some seat time for myself again. I absolutly adore being around them again as I came from a horse back ground in working with an equine Dr. in college and being an employee for a carrage company in Maryland doing barn work and outings.
I really appriciate your kindness and patience in showing us your facility. Thanks again.

WOW, you all really had a super Awards Ceremony at Norge Hall. It really was a nice event with dinner, games, awards, friendships, decorations. We all really enjoyed ourselves. Needless to say, Brooke had THE BEST time! She was so involved in all the activities. Her grandmother said it was hard for her to wind down Saturday night and go to sleep. Can’t imagine why!!!
So, I just wanted to extend my appreciation to you and Tara for such a lovely time. A lot of planning and work went into it…all for the riders and family members. Thank you, Stephanie, for encouraging me to enter Brooke in the Winter Show Series. It really made a tremendous difference in her little life. She and Rhett have become great partners, and that’s what it is all about. We’ll see you on April 23rd for sure!
Thank you, again.
Hello, i just wanted to say “thank you” for the wonderful trail ride i went on today. The staff was very polite and kind and the horse, Mandy was great. I had a horse many years ago and miss riding very much. What a delight to find a stable like yours… Very truly yours, Margaret Vander Veer. 🙂
Hi Allison, Our trail ride was a lot of fun. I know it was a lot of work for you and Margie. Mike and I want you to know how much we appreciate all your efforts; this is truly a memorable event in our lives. We will never forget what you and Margie did for us to make this very special.
I saw Cindy Carson today and told her what an incredible time we had.
I hope to see you again very soon – maybe for a lesson or two; and surely for a trail ride around your lake.
Thank You- It was truly WONDERFUL!!!
