Our equestrian support center is a family oriented and family operated 52 acre farm where horses meet families. With two family homes on the property, we are right here to oversee operations and be available in emergencies. All riding areas (two lighted show rings and indoor lighted training arena) are open for boarder use when not in use for lessons. A mile and a half long private lakeside wooded riding trail provides a pleasant diversion from ring riding and incorporates some hills and a bridge.
The 28 stall boarder barn, renovated extensively in 2015, features 12 x 12 stalls and is a state-of-the-art Barnmaster barn. There is automatic heated watering in each stall, Nelson stainless steel feeders throughout, two wash stalls with hot and cold water, a 16 foot wide concrete center aisle and wooden tack boxes for each stall. A utility/feed room, office, lounge area with viewing windows facing the show ring, and modern restroom facilities complete this ringside facility.
School horses and overflow boarders are housed in the school barns containing a total of 13 stalls with automatic heated watering, a restroom, storage room, and school tack room. Our four pastures and two paddocks are four board oak fencing by Fencecrafters and are equipped with automatic watering so that no horse should ever be thirsty. Excellent relationships with veterinarians from Tidewater Equine Vet Clinic, Woodside Equine Clinic, Certified Equine Dentists, and our farrier Charlie Faber allow us wonderful access to these important services.
Our boarder and own horses are carefully watched over by Tara Best. She helps to maintain the highest quality standards that we adhere to here at Stonehouse Stables. Please feel free to discuss any boarding questions with our Office Manager or with Tara firstname.lastname@example.org
