   Beg. Horse Camp 1  June 27th – July 1st
   Beg. Horse Camp 2 – July 11th – 15th
   Beg. Horse Camp 3 – July 25th – 29th
   Beg. Horse Camp 4 – August 15th – 19th


Beginner horse camps are open to riders ages 7 and up.  The cost is $375. Camp will run from 9 AM – 4 PM, except for Camp 4 which is from 8 AM – 3 PM. Camps will focus on horse care and basic riding skills.  Each day will include: a riding lesson, a theory lesson, lunch by the pool, swimming, and hands on horse care experience.  Beginner camps are designed for children with no experience up to the walk/trot level.

Special camps through James City County Parks and Recreation  

JCC SPRING BREAK HORSE CARE CAMP – April 5th – 7th (Tuesday through Thursday)

JCC HORSE CARE CAMP 1 – July 5th – July 7th (Tuesday through Thursday)

JCC HORSE CARE CAMP 2 – August 9th – August 11th (Tuesday through Thursday)

Riders must sign up for JCC Horse Care Camps through James City County Parks and Recreation.  These camps are open to children ages 9 and up and will be held from 8 AM to 1 PM, except for Spring Break Camp which is from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.  Camp is designed for students to learn the daily routine of feeding, handling horses/ponies, and doing barn chores in a large boarding and lesson barn.  After taking care of the horses each morning, students will have a group riding lesson in the ring.
