Lessons

The lesson program is one of our most important functions at Stonehouse Stables. All riding instruction is performed by or under the watchful eye of Head Instructor Tara Mathews Best. English Hunt Seat Equitation, a type of English riding most commonly associated with foxhunting, is featured. Hunter horses travel smoothly and jump both in the show ring and in the hunt field. Development of proper equitation skills increases the riders ability to control the horse as well as compete successfully in the show ring. We are fortunate to have wonderful teaching professionals, all life-long horse enthusiasts, trainers, and riders, that offer classes to both boarders and those who want to haul in for instruction. Riding School Lesson Program

We have limited school horses for lease lessons.  We offer beginner lessons to those individuals age 7 and up who are would like to dedicate themselves to learning the sport. 


Lessons will be individualized and appropiate to level.  Riding instructor and assistants will make your riding dreams come true. 


 A Trial lesson is scheduled for $75 for an hour and a half.  You will be required to purchase your own equestrian helmet prior to mounting.


$450 per month for 2 lessons a week (Monday to Fridays).  Schedule your ride today!   With a 30 day to 30 day commitment, this is the best way to step into this sport.  Immurse yourself (or child) into a life long passion.
