Shows
Stonehouse Stables attends and hosts several horse shows throughout the year. We believe horse shows are a critical aspect to riding. We have developed a traveling show team where students work toward year end awards, helping our students and horses set and achieve personal and performance goals. We attend many different venues during the year and have prize lists for our horse shows online. Our students horse show at the local level (CHSA and VHSA), at A rated shows (USEF), and at C shows providing a variety of showing levels and locations. For the last few years, we've shown at Tryon, WEC Ohio, Williamston, Raleigh, and WEC Ocala. Please feel free to visit the pages below to check out the latest show related information.
 Home Shows vs. Away Shows
All shows require your full attention and effort. The type of show you should attend depends on what you want to gain from the experience. We recommend everyone start with a home show before traveling with us to away shows.
Benefits of Home Horse Shows
You may feel more comfortable in the rings in which you practice
No added travel time or travel costs
Support from family and friends
Ability to prepare and organize yourself and your horse for showing
Benefits of Away Horse Shows

Different competitors
Responsibility for your horse for the whole show
Riding in new rings and learning how they are different
Ability to organize yourself and your horse for travel
VHSA Horse Shows
Stonehouse Stables belongs to the Capital Horse Shows Association (CHSA) centered in Richmond, Virginia. These local venues hold VHSA Associate shows. Our show team travels from April through November each year. We host two VHSA Horse Shows each season, and you can view the Prize Lists on our Events Page.
